APC Dominates Nationwide By-Elections as APGA Wins Anambra, NNPP Takes Kano, PDP Secures Oyo
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday announced results from multiple by-elections across Nigeria, following vacancies created by appointments, deaths, and court judgments. The contests highlighted the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)’s sweeping dominance nationwide, but also featured notable victories by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo. Edo State (APC): In the Ovia Federal Constituency, Omosede Igbinedion (APC) secured victory with 77,053 votes, defeating PDP’s 3,838 votes.
