TCN Restores Full Power to Apo Substation After Tower Relocation
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced the successful restoration of full bulk power to the Apo Transmission Substation. This follows the completion of the relocation of eight towers along the Kukwaba-Apo line.
With this development, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) can now resume normal electricity supply from the substation to customers in the affected areas, putting an end to the load rationing experienced during the relocation period.
TCN expressed gratitude to electricity consumers for their patience and understanding throughout the two-week exercise. The relocation of the towers became necessary to accommodate the ongoing road dualization project along the Apo axis.
This achievement underscores TCN's commitment to ensuring efficient power transmission despite infrastructural challenges.
